Well it's been a month since any progress has really been made... Christmas and the weather have been mainly to blame, but the good news is that we have working electrics throughout the house now! The walk-in-wardrobe is now painted and carpeted which is serving as great storage room. The bathroom has had a single coat of white paint, but until we know what we're doing in there we'll leave it at that for now...
Things are coming together now, with us so close to having completed rooms. There are however quite a lot of finishing touches before they can be made habitable. Christmas has stopped progress for a while, but fingers crossed the pace of work will pick up this year and we'll have a completed house before we know it!
Another day, another doorway! Oh and we also have electricity upstairs! We can look around the new bedroom at night without having to resort to torches!!
We came home to another new doorway today! It's rather cold again, but we'll be watertight and airtight before we know it though!
The remaining walls that could be plastered upstairs were done today, including the hallway. It's the first time in three and a half years that we've walked up the stairs and seen something other than bare plasterboard. Until the windows on the front of the house are installed the last wall can't get plastered.
The radiators were also put in place today. Most of the pipework has been fitted, we just need it plumbing into the rest of the system and we'll have heat in the extension!
