Flooring

Well today has been a quiet week on the DIY front as I've been recovering from being ill last weekend. Still, there's been progress in the extension.

The first big decision of the week was to go for French doors rather than waiting for the doors we'd wanted originally. Having thought it through, the doors will still provide the light and view of the garden we wanted, we can get them now (!), they still have a substantial opening area and as a final bonus, they're actually slightly cheaper! If we do decide that they're really not what we wanted, we've always got the option of swapping them and putting them in the side extension instead in the future.

Monday and Tuesday saw the plumber here sorting the first fix for the sinks etc. On thursday the floor insulation went down ready for the underfloor heading pipes to be fitted on the Friday

I was out early on Saturday morning and was surprised to come home to a big pile of sand in the middle of the road! It turns out the screeding team had arrived to lay the floor! By the end of the day we'll have a finished floor and we'll be yet another step closer to finishing and being able to get back to some normality.
